John Hourley, a brother to Uncle Joe Gourley died Sunday morning, April 12, 1913 at his home in Mountain View, Wyoming, where he has lived the past 25 years. He is in his 83rd years of life. The full particulars cannot be had for this issure, but the cause of his death is given as paralysis plus senility.

Mr. Gourley was one of the sturdy band of pioneers that came to this county in the spring of 1856 who when we had begune to become settled down to eastern ways, again removed to more prestine scenes. we have a great debt to the pioneer and Mr. Gourley faithfully and well performed his part in our development and there are many old friends here who will regret the passing of kind and big hearted John Gourley.
