    • Edward Stanbury was a farmer and of the Methodist faith.
      He lived in Washington County, Tennessee until 1833 when he removed to Cheney's Grove, McLean County, Illinois.
      With his neighbors' help, Edward fixed up a little cabin before winter set in, 1833. The cabin was not totally weather-proof as Edward came down with ague.
      Edward entered the land he had a claim on in 1835, in section 20. He sold that property and bought another.
