    • Otho Beall and Elizabeth Grundy arrived in Rockdale in 1874. Elizabeth was one of the early day teachers of the town, having a private school in her home before the public schools were set up.

      Some descendants believe Elizabeth was born 21 Apr 1836, and possibly she was, however no documentation has been found, and this date does not agree very closely with her census records.
