K 49 Indiana Infantry Wagoner Captian 000540 0042 00002304 Information from Carrie Holbrook, familygirl@uswest.net ======= Nicholas LaFon's Bible - notes here were taken by John Dencoff. This is a small 4"x8"x3" Bible, with many written notes and birthdates. It is in very good condition today (Aug 2002), published by the NY American Bible Society , 1853. It has the following notes written on the inside cover: "Nicholas A. LaFon's book. Bought of Hiram Lindley [Ed note: perhaps he meant to write "Findley"] in the year 1858". History of this Bible - Nicholas LaFon gave the Bible at some point to his brother Alexander H. LaFon. Alexander then gave it to his daughter Agnes Annetta "Nettie" (LaFon) Gregg. Agnes then gave the Bible to her daughter Minnie (Gregg) Findley [who later married Emil Hunsinger]. Minnie gave it to her daughter Alma Louise (Findley) Myers, and Alma gave it to her daughter Gloria (Myers) Dencoff. This Bible is currently owned by Gloria D. Dencoff.
